Built in 1924 by PAUL LATHAM who was first police chief of Hialeah and a well known stunt pilot in the 1920's. This Mission style house (with a touch of Spanish Colonial) has a two story garage apartment in the rear. GLENN CURTISS JR. was the son of Glenn and Lena Curtiss and after his marriage to Ada Howell in 1932, resided in the house for many years. A two story addition linking the house and garage was built by Glenn Curtiss, Jr. during his residency, as well as a one story family room on left side of the house. |
